childhood

children have neither past nor future; they enjoy the present, which very few of us do.
- jean de la bruyere

isn't this the truth?!

children really do live in the present - completely!
they don't know of another way.
i think it's one of the qualities in kids, adults are in awe of.

sometimes i sit and play with finn and scout
other times i sit and observe them play
but most often, i sit and listen to them play

they enjoy each other and their playtime soooo much.
they are happy as clams and can spend hours this way.
i can't help but sit back and smile
(until of course they start fighting). *laugh*

oh to be a child again...even if just for a day.

here are my sweet boys, playing with their chevron cars
these cars are inexpensive and basically indestructible .*cheer*
their daddy created this make-shift 'car wash' by cutting up an old t-shirt.
you may remember finn's similar wash a few years back...

About Me

San Diego, CA, United States
I'm a Southern California mom to 2 boys and a wifey to my long-time love. I work full-time and life is a bit crazy, but I strive to remember to take time to enjoy the little things, because in the end, it's those things that will matter most.
