fashion friday: orla kiely

a few months ago, i stopped a woman at ikea to inquire about her very fun purse.
this was the bag that caught my eye:

i LOVED it - the colors, design and the size.
it just felt like me...i could picture myself with this on my arm

so i got home and jumped on-line to see where i could purchase it
and learned that it was designed by orla kiely,
an irish fashion designer who's prints are in vogue right now.

as i looked at her designs, i recognized tons of her stuff from
purses, luggage, clothing and even stationary.
{i think she even designs a line for target}

unfortunately, because this designer is trendy,
the purse's pricetag is ridiculously high.
with a complete fixer home, i can't justify spending this kind of money,
for a purse no matter how much i love it.
and truth be told, i don't even need another purse. i have plenty.

i hope you enjoy your FRIDAY!

i'm so looking forward to it.  c's in northern ca for a few days for an architecture
thing, so the little guys and i have a movie night planned.  they also get to sleep
IN my bed...a rare treat that happens only when c's out of town.
{squeezing into a queen sized bed is getting harder as they get bigger}

scoutie's first soccer practice starts tomorrow {i'm co-coaching},
and finn has asked me to take him to a robotics competition which i
don't know a thing about.  i better jump on the internet tonight and
learn more.  also, sometime this weekend, i need to squeeze in laundry,
grocery shopping, other errands and run. i really really need a good run.
i've been SUCH a slacker since the move and feeling squishy. =/

wishing you and a wonderful and productive weekend!

xo
